Hello Hi! My name is Molly, I’m 18 years old, a first-year university student, and a huge fan of dark romance novels.

I’ve always been drawn to stories where something unsettling, complicated, and real hides behind beautiful words—stories about emotions that are frightening in their intensity, characters with secrets, and love that isn’t always easy or right. University is nothing like school.

No one watches your every move here, but sometimes that freedom feels almost too big. You decide whether to wake up early and finish a chapter before class, stay up all night reading until the last page, or spend the entire evening in the library searching for another story you won’t be able to put down.

Sometimes I feel completely grown-up: making schedules, turning in assignments, rushing to lectures with coffee in my hand. And sometimes I feel like a little girl who has been released into a huge world and told, “Read, dream, and don’t be afraid to feel too much.”

I love quiet mornings on campus, when the hallways are still empty and the light outside the windows is soft. There is almost always a book in my bag—usually one with a dark cover, bookmarks between the pages, and dozens of underlined quotes.

I also carry headphones, a small notebook filled with quotations, and a list of books I absolutely want to read. I suppose I’m the kind of romantic who believes that one beautifully written sentence can stay in your heart for a long time.

I love it when a book makes me feel everything: worry, anger at the characters, fear for them, doubt about their choices—and still hope that, somewhere in all the darkness, they will find something real. Sometimes I get tired—of deadlines, notes, sleepless nights, and endless thoughts.

But then I open a new book and find a story that completely pulls me in, and I feel inspired again. Especially when someone says, “I read that too, and I couldn’t put it down.”
